Robert Laughton, BSc MIFM Senior Biologist, Spey Research Trust
Bob Laughton graduated from Aberdeen University in 1985 with BSc (Hons) in Zoology. He has been employed by the Spey Research Trust since 1988. The Spey Research Trust directs research into the salmon and sea trout within the Spey and provides information to the Spey District Salmon Fishery Board to improve the resource. Within this broad remit Bob has developed research interests in a number of key areas including radio-tracking adult salmon migrations, developing a main stem acoustic fish counter, carrying out juvenile surveys, collecting angling catch effort data and evaluating the effect of distillery cooling water discharges on salmonid growth and adult run timing. |
