Ron has over 25 years experience of environmental studies at FRS Freshwater Laboratory. His main interests are freshwater acidification and eutrophication and their impacts on salmonid fisheries, especially in catchments affected by commercial afforestation and natural regeneration. His current work includes studies of the effects of nitrogen deposition on freshwater ecosystems and he is a member of the UK Critical Loads Advisory Group.
