Lochaber Fisheries Trust - More Information The Trust The Lochaber Fisheries Trust (formerly Lochaber & District Fisheries Trust) was established in 1996 with a remit to explore the factors underlying declines in fish populations and to use this information to promote improved management of rivers, lochs and coastal environments in the Lochaber area. The Board of Trustees is made up of members of local angling clubs, business people, fisheries proprietors and fish farmers - the broad membership reflecting the importance of fisheries to the local community. The Trust employs two biologists to carry out its scientific programme. We work closely with other conservation charities, government agencies and statutory authorities, allowing the results of our work to be widely disseminated and applied.
