Southampton University Fish Modelling Workshop Announcement

In return for SFCC biologists providing significant volumes of data for a national research project, Southampton University are delivering knowledge transfer workshops for SEPA and SFCC biologists.

Dependant on demand, the first workshop will be on November 10th and 11th at the Freshwater Laboratory. If there are more than 10 attendees signed up we will run a second workshop on November 12th and 13th.

The workshop is delivered by Dr Marc Naura, and will feature an interactive syle of delivery whereby salmon and trout abundance is modelled using real data as provided by SFCC biologists. Expert opinion regarding salmonid habitat suitability variables will be canvassed before being tested using predictive modelling of empirical data.
