New Smolt Data Project Launched

The SFCC has today been awarded a major smolt data retrieval and collation project by Marine Scotland Science

The clear aim is: “To identify and collate the available data on Atlantic salmon smolt output across Scotland in order to assess the potential of identifying migration run times from these datasets.” The requirement for knowledge of migration run timings at a national scale has arisen in the context of the imminent major offshore renewables developments. The SFCC are now contacting Trusts and Boards directly.
